After all, having dozens of folks working to help your business thrive makes sense; Doesn't it? What you might not know is that one or two people are often assigned to your entire account. Something else that might have slipped the big wigs when making their pitch was the fact that some of those “experienced professionals” working on your campaign are actually college students interning, or practicing with your advertising budget.

Before launching our firm, we sat on the other side of the table, regularly  hearing pitches from different firms throughout the country. While the faces always changed, the overall message and experience was usually the same. Great suits, smooth talking and flashy presentations were the norm. Everyone thought “outside-the-box” and were quick to boast about their many clients, affiliations and awards. Which was great…for them.

 

After most presentations, we’d e-mail these firms with some basic questions about our business, industry and potential messages. Needless to say, our responses were usually laughable as we could clearly see no thought or research had been done past their original template pitch.

 

While we might lack the flash or pizzazz of larger firms, Aura has the experience, know-how and follow-thru to learn your industry, develop an idea and carry it to fruition.

Next time you’re selecting an advertising firm – do a quick Google search. Check out their addresses. Odds are, they’re living quite large with plenty of square footage, high-end locations, pricey furniture and lofty payrolls.
